‘Rafales’ inducted in Indian Airforce
There would be no compromise with the national sovereignty and territorial integrity ! China warned by Rajnath Singh
Ambala (Punjab) – Considering the kind of atmosphere at our borders or rather the kind of atmosphere created at our borders, induction of Rafale jets in Indian Air Force is important. We will not compromise with the national sovereignty and territorial integrity at any cost. This is the resolution of India and I have put forth this in front of you. We are ready to do anything for the sovereignty of India, warned the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh without directly mentioning the name of China.

The high-tech Rafale jets were inducted in Indian Air Force on 10th September. Rajnath Singh was addressing in a ceremony arranged on the Air Force ground in Ambala, Punjab. A traditional all faith prayer was a part of this ceremony. French Defence Minister Florence Parly, Indian Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, CDS general Bipin Rawat made their presence on this occasion.

The first batch of Rafales include 5 jets and this squadron is named as ‘Golden Arrow’. India had signed an inter-governmental agreement with France to procure 36 Rafale aircrafts at a cost of Rs 59,000 crore in 2016. India has received the first batch of these aircrafts, which includes 5 jets. The rest of the jets are likely to arrive in next 2-3 years step by step.
