A few days ago, spokesperson Kapil Sibal along with Ghulam Nabi Azad, Prithviraj Chauhan, Mukul Vasnik, Milind Deora wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi demanding a full time President for the Congress party. Rahul Gandhi commented in the Congress Working Committee meeting that, “those who had written this letter have colluded with BJP”. On this comment, Kapil Sibal along with other leaders expressed their dissatisfaction.
Sibal further asked that, “What is the issue in the letter which was written to Sonia Gandhi ? In this matter CWC has to be informed earlier. This should be the basic agenda for the meeting. If there is any mistake in our letter, then an investigation may be conducted against us. No discussion was conducted in the CWC meeting in this regard. During the meeting, we were called as ‘dissenters’ and no leader uttered a single word against this. Our letter was very courteous.
