The biggest dam in the world, the ‘Three Gorges’ in China may develop cracks due to heavy rains
If the dam bursts, it will be a major catastrophe for China
If Mother Nature punishes China which is aiming to destroy others, the world will not sympathise with it.
Beijing (China) – Many provinces in China are flooded due to heavy rains. The ‘Three George’, the biggest dam in the world is full due to heavy rainfall. Discharge from the dam has caused flooding in several States including Wuhan, the birthplace of corona and they are facing floods. The laboratories and meat market in Wuhan are submerged.
- It was reported some time back that the ‘Three George’ dam may burst due to heavy floods. China declared it as a rumour. Now a few environmentalists in China are worried about this dam. The water level is the highest now, since the construction of the dam. If the dam develops a small crack, many cities in China will drown.
- This dam is at 300 kms. away from Wuhan. Still, the city was flooded after a few sluice gates of the dam were opened. This is an indication that this dam may cause disaster in China, the residents claimed.
- This dam is 2,309 m long. If the heavy rains continue for a few more days, for how much time the dam will sustain the water pressure is doubtful. A few sluice gates were opened this week, but due to incessant heavy rains, the water level did not subside.
