China declines to pull back from the Finger 4 region in Ladakh
China is ambitious and will not move back. India must give China a fitting reply and force it to retreat.
Leh (Ladakh) – Indian and Chinese soldiers faced each other at four stations in East Ladakh. The Chinese army retreated at three locations, Galwan Valley, Hot Spring and Gogra. Nevertheless, China refused to move backwards at the Pangong Lake in the Finger 4 area. It may be the initiation point of the encounter between the two nations. India strengthened forces in this region with a heavy number of tanks.

On the morning of 14th July, Senior Army Officers of Corps Command held talks for 15 hours. Chinese Army Officers clearly stated that they would not move back from the Finger 4 area. Indian viewpoint is to implement the status quo as in mid-April. The Indian Army was patrolling up to the Finger 8 area. China invaded and intruded up to the Finger 4 region. India asserts that China should move backward from the Finger 4 area.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir on 17-18th July. Lt. Gen. of Northern Command, Gen. Y. K. Joshi arrived in Delhi. He will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprise him of the situation along the LAC.
