Hindus banned from performing ‘Puja’ and other sacred rituals at Saidpur in Pakistan !
A Muslim security guard will protect the temple !
At present, there is not a single Idol of the Deity in the temple !
- Such is the state of Hindu temples in Islamic countries ! Why the progressives, human rights associations, and media do not speak up ?
- It is highly discreditable to all the Governments till now, that for the last 72 years, they could not protect the minority Hindus and their places of worship in Pakistan and Bangladesh. A Hindu Rashtra (Nation) is necessary to alter the perilous state.
Islamabad (Pakistan) – At the Saidpur village near Margalla Hills, an ancient Ram Mandir is situated. Hindus are prohibited from performing ‘Puja’ and other sacred rituals in the temple. Devout Hindus travel from far to visit the temple. However, they are compelled to return without performing puja and sacred rituals.
- Bhagwan Shriram, Sitamata, and Lakshman resided at this place during their 14 years of stay in the jungle. Hence, this place has special importance to Hindus.
- King Man Singh constructed the Ram Mandir in 1580 AD at this sacred place.
- There was a beautiful pond here, called Ramkund. Bhagwan Shriram drank water from it. Until 1893, there used to be a fair near Ramkund. Now it is a culvert full of rubbish and foul smell.
- This site of Ram Mandir became the territory of Pakistan after the partition. Since then, there is a ban on Hindus for performing ‘Puja.’
- In 1960, the anti-Hindu Government of Pakistan converted this Mandir into a girl’s school. Local Hindus opposed and protested against this action; as a result, the Government moved the school and vacated the temple.
- In 2008, the Pakistan Government declared the temple site as national heritage. The Government commenced the restoration work. However, all the Idols of Deities were removed after the restoration. Now there is no Idol in the temple. Since then, the village is known as Saidpur.
- Later, many non-vegetarian hotels and handicraft shops were opened here.
- A dormitory accommodation for pilgrims was constructed in the Ram Mandir premises. Now it is used as a public toilet.
There is not a single temple for 3,000 Hindus in Pakistan! – Sawai Lal, a Hindu activist.
A Hindu activist in Pakistan Sawai Lal said, “Three thousand Hindus reside in Islamabad. They do not have a single temple for worship. (In a Hindu majority India, several huge worship centres exist for the minorities. These places illegally installed big loudspeakers blaring continuously. – Editor.) The Government destroyed the sanctity of this temple by allowing hotels and shops on the premises.”
Out of 1,288 Hindu temples in Pakistan, only in 31 temples Hindus are allowed to offer prayers ! – Pakistan Hindu Council.
The founder of ‘Pakistan Hindu Council’ Ramesh Kumar Vankwani said, “1,288 temples are registered here but Hindus are permitted to visit and perform rituals only in 31 of them. The Government should allow us to restore this ancient Ram Mandir. ‘Pakistan Hindu Council’ is responsible to safeguard the properties of Hindus migrated to India after partition.
