Hindu organisations demand banning an Assamese serial ‘Begum Jaan’ that promotes Love Jihad
The ‘Begum Jaan’ serial is about a Hindu Brahmin girl who marries a Muslim man
Had the plot depicted a Hindu youth and a Muslim girl in love, religious fanatics would have opposed it, therefore, no one dares to show such stories on television. Realise that Hindus do not even use legal means to protest against the stories involving Hindu girls and Muslim youth, that is why the television channels dare to show such serials.
