China starts pulling back 2 km from Galwan
Result of Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign minister’s discussion
Considering China has pulled back after creating pressure at all levels, maintaining such pressure is necessary so that China will not attempt to repeat such mischief. Still, India should be always alert even though untrustworthy China has pulled back.
Leh (Ladakh) – India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and China’s Foreign Minister held a discussion through a video conference prompting Chinese troops to pull back 2 kms from their existing position in the Galwan valley. Before this discussion, both the nations had talks at ‘Corps Commander’ level. Indian Army is closely monitoring the pullback of the Chinese troops.
Chinese troops have stepped back from Finger Point 4 to Finger Point 8 from Galwan’s Pangong lake; but they have not demolished their bunkers and other construction from the site. During the mid-April, Indian Army used to patrol till Finger 7, so India had asked Chinese troops should move back till Finger 8.

India has asked China to maintain status quo that existed prior to mid-April in entire Eastern Ladakh. China had betrayed the decision taken during the ‘Corps Commander’ meeting due to which 20 Indian Soldiers were martyred and 43 Chinese soldiers died on 15th June.
