‘Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskruti Sanstha’ established with the blessings of Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj
Baba used to teach a lot through spiritual quotes. A seeker is likely to be deprived of Baba’s invaluable treasure of thoughts if the implied meaning of some quotes is not understood. To prevent this, implied meanings one from amongst thousands of His spiritual quotes is given here.
There are two obstacles – destiny and doubts.
Implied meaning : These are the two obstacles in a human’s path of Spiritual progress. Firstly, if the destiny does not have enough merits to its account, progress on this path will be limited. Also, a human who has a large accumulated account of merits-demerits from previous births (Sanchit), will get more and more entangled in the Great Illusion (Maya) and he will not be able to perform charan seva, meaning, serve God or the Guru as desired. Secondly, if doubts keep coming to one’s mind, development of faith and trust will become difficult. Due to a confused state of mind, service unto Him will not take place as required. Destiny can only be completed by undergoing it, just as one has to repay a bank loan. Otherwise, it will have to be repaid along with interest, sometime or the other
Do you remember how Sanatan Sanstha was established ?
In 1991, I received a telephone call from Dr. (Mrs.) Kunda Athavale, who said, “Baba (Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj, fondly called H.H. Baba) has come to Nashik. We will go to meet Him tomorrow”.
The next day, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale, Dr. (Mrs.) Kunda Athavale and I left for Nashik. We spent the day in H.H. Baba’s company. At that time, H.H. Baba was staying at the residence of Mr. Girish Dikshit in Untawadi. We also stayed there that night.
In the morning the next day, when H.H. Baba was lying on a cot, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale was sitting in front of Him. Dada (H.H. Ramanand Maharaj) was also there and all others were sitting around them.
At that time, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale said to H.H. Baba, “We should establish an organisation to propagate Sanatan Dharma”. H.H. Baba replied, “This is a very good idea. You take the initiative, you establish it”. After some discussion on this, the question of the name for the organisation arose. Immediately, H.H. Baba sat up on His bed and exclaimed, ‘Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskruti Sanstha’. Thus, ‘Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskruti Sanstha’ came into existence. – Mr. Jayant Borkar, Vokhroli, Mumbai. (23.2.2015)
In reality too, ‘Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskruti Sanstha’ was established with the blessings of Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj on 1.8.1991.
Later, due to the workshops organised by Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale, celebrations of several Gurupournima festivals of H.H. Baba and hundreds of public meetings addressed by Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale between 1996 and 1998, thousands of spiritually curious people and hundreds of seekers got associated with the Sanstha.
With the expansion in the scope of propagating Spirituality, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale established Sanatan Sanstha on 23rd March 1999.
The mission of Sanatan Sanstha has always received the blessings of Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj and has expanded many times over today, and thousands of seekers are performing spiritual practice under the guidance of Sanatan Sanstha. – Editor
Gifts as blessings from H.H. Baba to Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale
A chariot of Shrikrushna-Arjun gifted by H.H. Baba on the occasion of His Amrut Mahotsav in 1995 to Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale
H.H. Baba’s Amrut Mahotsav was celebrated on 8th and 9th February 1995. For the success of the function, all of us had worked hard. After the function, H.H. Baba sent for me and narrated the importance of Shrikrushna-Arjun. After this, He gave me a silver chariot of Shrikrushna-Arjun and said, “When you establish your office in Goa, place this there”. Later, I forgot about the incident. In the mean time, we prepared a picture of Shrikrushna-Arjun to be put up as the background of the dais during the public meetings of Sanatan Sanstha. At that time, others reminded me of the incident. The Headquarter of Sanatan Sanstha (Ashram) is now in Goa only.
In 1993, I told H.H. Baba that it had become difficult for me to go everywhere as my car was old and I did not have the money to buy a new car. H.H. Baba gave me His car. As His blessing, H.H. Baba gave me a flag from his vehicle in 1993 and told me to move everywhere with this flag placed on the vehicle. – Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale
