Derogatory mention of Maharana Pratap as less courageous military commander in the textbook by Rajasthan’s Congress Government
- Suppressed the struggling history of great fighter Maharana Pratap
- Keep in mind the Hindu-hatred of Rajasthan’s Mughal lover Congress Government ! What ideal is the Rajasthan Government putting in front of students ?
- The Central Government should intervene and immediately remove this false history and bring forth true history in front of people !
- Does pride less Congress, which disrespects revolutionaries and great men at every step and praises enemies, deserves to rule ?
Jaipur (Rajasthan) – Ashok Gehlot’s Congress Government of Rajasthan has made a derogatory mention of the great fighter Maharana Pratap in class X social science book of the State secondary education board by mentioning him as less courageous military commander. Not only that, but the Government has also suppressed the history of the struggle by Maharana Pratap.
In a Chapter named ‘Sangharshkalin Bharat 1206 AD -1757 AD’ of this book, it is said that, the king of Mewar, Maharana Pratap lacked the courage, control and planning as a military commander during hostile circumstances. This chapter is based on the war in Haldighati between Maharana Pratap and the cruel Mughal king Akbar. It is further stated in this chapter that the Mughal army was not capable of fighting in the mountainous region, at the same time the army of Mewar was also not capable of fighting on the battlefield.
Objection has been raised over this by descendants of Maharana Pratap
The descendants of Maharana Pratap and erstwhile royal family of Mewar, have strongly objected to this act of Congress Government. The royal family has demanded that the State education board either provides evidence to substantiate the claims made in the textbook or remove the content from the book immediately. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a descendant of Maharana Pratap, said that the removal of true history from the textbook is unfortunate. The part that has been removed was highly suitable for the next generation. The textbook was changed three years ago, what was the need to change it again in such a hurry ?
Earlier, the prefix ‘Veer’ was also removed from the name of freedom fighter Savarkar !
Rajasthan’s Congress Government made changes in several successive textbooks within six months of coming to the power. The Government had removed the word ‘Veer’ from the name of freedom fighter Savarkar, contained in the XII grade textbook.
