Objectionable comments on Hinduism, Sita Mata and Sanskrut language by Asif Khan, trainee officer of ‘GoAir’
On receiving widespread opposition from Hindus, GoAir fired trainee officer Asif Khan.

New Delhi – Private airlines GoAir officer Asif Khan made objectionable remarks on Twitter in the context of Sita Mata, Hinduism and Sanskrut language. His tweet received backlash with the Hindus strongly criticising him through social media and declared a boycott of GoAir as well. The hashtag ‘#BoycottGoAir’ was seen amongst national trends on Twitter. Thousands of Hindus tweeted against Asif Khan and GoAir. Due to this, GoAir terminated Asif Khan’s employment contract and clarified that the airlines does not associate itself with personal views expressed by an individual or an employee.
