Curfew imposed in 40 US cities following violence
African American community in the US faces racism tinged atrocities. This has led to civil unrest and violence. At least now, the US should refrain from criticising alleged barbarity on the minorities in India, and try to eradicate racism at home.
Minneapolis (USA) – An African American youth died after police brutality. The violence triggered by the death of the African American youth continues with demonstrations across the country and at least 40 cities under curfew. Protests escalated into the White House, the official residence of President Donald Trump. National Security Guards had to move President Trump to the bunker for safety.
Five thousand soldiers of National Guard were moved to 15 different states. If necessary two thousand additional National Guards will be mobilised. Police fired rubber bullets to disperse protestors leaving many injured.
