“Dismiss the Babri Masjid demolition case !” – demands Babri Masjid prosecutor, Iqbal Ansari
Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – ‘Ramjanmbhumi’ case verdict has cleared the construction of Ram Mandir which has even commenced. The special court under NIA should immediately dismiss the Babri Masjid demolition case. Babri Masjid prosecutor, Iqbal Ansari, put forth this demand.
The verdict on this case may disrupt national harmony
Ansari said, “The court has completed the recording of statements of all witnesses in Babri Masjid case and the date of the final hearing of the accused is set. The court may announce the ruling soon. The verdict may disrupt communal harmony in the country. If the Government dismisses the case, people will forget Mandir Masjid dispute forever.”
Build schools and colleges on the land of Masjid !
Ansari commented on the 5-acre land allotted by the court. He said, “There are 22 Masjids in the vicinity of the allotted land. We must build the facilities most needed. It will be ideal to build a Corona hospital there. In addition to a Masjid build schools, colleges, and rest houses. People should get the facility without restrictions of caste and creed.”
NIA filed a charge sheet against Advani, Uma Bharati and 49 others
Babri Masjid was demolished on 6th December 1992. NIA investigated and filed a charge sheet against 49 persons. These include Lalkrushna Advani, Uma Bharati, Kalyan Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi, Pavan Kumar Pandey, Brujbhushan Sharan Singh, Satish Pradhan, Vinay Katiyar, Sadhvi Rutambara, Dr Ram Vilas Vedanti, Champat Rai, Nrutygopal Das, Lallu Sigh, Mahant Dharmdas, Sakshi Maharaj, R.N. Srivastav and others. Out of the 49 accused, 19 have died. Now there are 32 accused.
The Supreme Court has set a deadline of 31st August to conclude the case.
