Hand over Palghar lynching case and the mysterious death of Adv. Digvijay Trivedi to CBI : Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad
Considering the sensitivity of the cases, Hindus feel that there was no need for such a demand; the Government should have handed over the cases to CBI on its own.
Aurangabad (Maharashtra) – Shri Kalpavrukshagiri Maharaj, (Age 70) and a relatively young Shri Sushilgiri Maharaj (Age 30) were murdered in cold blood on 16th April 2020 at Gadchinchale Village, Palghar District, Maharashtra. Then, Adv. Digvijay Trivedi who was representing the Sadhus in Court met with a fatal accident and died on the spot on 13th May while he was traveling to the Dahanu Court.
‘The matter in which two Sadhus were killed brutally, and the so-called accidental death of Adv. Trivedi cannot be a mere coincidence of sorts. These incidents have to be investigated by an impartial agency like CBI. It is high time that the State Government hands this case to the CBI because the Police machinery here in Maharashtra is not allowed to discharge their duties and instead they have been attacked by miscreants more than 160 times’. This representation was submitted to the Union Minister for Home Affairs by H.H. (Adv.) Suresh Kulkarni, Secretary of High Court Bar Association and Member of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad. “You are requested to please treat this matter as the most burning issue and issue necessary orders for a thorough investigation”, said Adv. Kulkarni in His memorandum.
