A youth arrested in Mumbai for threatening to bomb UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Mumbai – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was sent a death threat on social media. On 23rd May, a young man, Kamran Khan, was arrested by the Maharashtra Anti – Terrorism Squad from Chunabhatti area of Mumbai. He will be handed over to the UP Special Task Force (STF) for further investigation.
In Lucknow, UP, the Police administration runs a social media helpdesk for the citizens. This helpline number received an anonymous message threatening to bomb UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this context, an FIR was lodged at the Gomti Nagar Police station in Lucknow. The number was traced to Mumbai, Maharashtra and this information was immediately conveyed to the Maharashtra Anti – Terrorism Squad. On obtaining further evidence using technical expertise, the accused was identified. Subsequently, Kamran Khan was arrested from Mhada Colony in Chunabhatti area of Mumbai.
