Kerala Tourism’s Tweet on Beef recipe on Makarsankranti day : An attack on the faith of Hindus
It is not surprising that the people will be encouraged to eat beef in the rule of the Communist Government. Such incidents are expected in the State where the cow is slaughtered openly on roads, beef festivals are celebrated just to irritate Hindus.
The way the Communists hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus, Hindus never try to retaliate because they respect the sentiments of other communities.
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – A Twitter post by Kerala Tourism Department promoting a beef dish sparked outrage as Hindus questioned its timing which coincided with the auspicious Hindu festival Makarasakranti, Pongal and Bihu on 15th January. Hindus questioned the Kerala Government’s advertisement promoting beef in a bid to increase tourism in the State. “Tender chunks of beef, slow-roasted with aromatic spices, coconut pieces, and curry leaves. A recipe for the most classic dish, Beef Ularthiyathu, the stuff of legends, from the land of spices, Kerala”, read the Twitter post of Kerala Tourism.
The cow is considered to be sacred and is revered by Hindus, and several States have banned its slaughter as a sign of regard for Hindu religious sentiments.
Some reactions from Netizens Ms. Maria Wirth
Disgusting & foolish of @KeralaTourism to try to attract tourists with a beef dish. You will get better traction by advertising veg only resorts. West slowly cuts down on meat and especially beef and some Indians think eating beef is progressive. Sad state of mind.

Kerala communist Government has declared a war against Hindus of the State ! Kerala Government is taking a ride on Hindu sentiments by glorifying beef on #Makarasankranti day. Sick mindset of Commies of Kerala is out for display. Communism is a disease, shame on u.

The Government should be ‘culturally sensitive’ while making such posts.

KeralaTourism Shame ! In 1788, Tipu Sultan force-fed beef & circumcised the Malayalis to justify conversion. Beef is the reminder of humiliation & defeat for every Keralite at hands of Jihadi Tipu Sultan.
