Police arrest Gallantry Award winner Deputy Superintendent of Police with 2 terrorists
The Policemen in Kashmir joining hands with terrorists is very dangerous for the security of the Nation. Those who practise dishonesty with the Nation with greed for money must be hanged !
Instead of being protectors, the Policemen have become predators of the masses ! How will the Police force, which is filled with Policemen who join hands with criminals and terrorists protect the masses from terrorists ?
Srinagar (J&K) – Davinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police of Jammu & Kashmir, has been arrested from Kulgam. He was taken into custody by security forces while he was traveling in a 4-wheeler with 2 terrorists – Senior commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Asif Rathar and Syed Naveed Mushtaq alias Naveed Babu, in the Mir Bazar area of Qazigund in Kulgam District. (Davinder Singh needs to be thoroughly investigated, besides looking into the investigations he conducted ! – Editor) When his house was raided, 5 grenades and 3 AK-47 rifles were found.
Davinder Singh had joined the counter-insurgency Special Operations Group (SoG) of Jammu & Kashmir Police as a Sub-Inspector and he rose quickly to the rank of a DSP in addition to earning the prestigious Police Medal for gallantry; he will now be interrogated by Intelligence Bureau, Research and Analysis Wing & Military Intelligence teams.
Received lakhs of Rupees from ISI
During Police investigation, it was revealed that Davinder Singh had received Rs. 12 lakhs from ISI for ensuring safe passage to these terrorists first to Chandigarh and then to New Delhi.
Davinder Singh had also been in contact with the dreaded terrorist Mohammad Afzal, who was the mastermind of the attack on the Parliament on 13th December 2001.
Sources further said that Davinder Singh had been providing hideouts to militants in Jammu during winters for the last several years, for which he was getting handsome amount of money.
Keeping the high-security sensitive nature of Davinder Singh’s activities in mind, the National Investigative Agency (NIA) has now decided that after being interrogated by the State Police and the Intelligence Agencies, NIA will take custody of Davinder Singh as well as Syed Naveed Mushtaq to find out their links with the terror funding cases being investigated by it.
As per sources, Davinder Singh has now been stripped of his Gallantry Award given by the Jammu & Kashmir administration.
