Rajasthan Government launches ‘veil removal’ campaign
Anti-Hindu Congress Government is silent about burqa system
This is the Hindu-hatred of Congress Government in Rajasthan ! If the Women and Child Welfare Department has any courage, it should launch a campaign against the burqa and ‘Triple talaq’ that Muslim women have to suffer, instead of launching a campaign against the age-old practices of Hindus !
Jaipur (Rajasthan) – In the rural areas of Rajasthan, women still have a tradition of practising veil. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made a statement last month that ‘this practice should be abolished’. Against this backdrop, the Department of Women and Child Welfare has launched a ‘Ghungat Hatao’ (Remove the veil) campaign to raise awareness among women. Under this campaign, women who come to vote in the Panchayat elections will be ‘educated’ to abolish the practice of wearing veils.
The campaign will be implemented in all Districts. Activists, representatives of the people, social workers, etc. will be involved in this campaign.
An official of the Department of Women and Child Welfare while informing about the campaign said, “Our grass-roots activists, members of women’s savings groups and local women hold meetings on various issues every Friday. One of such meetings discussed the ‘veil’ practice. At the same time, the message of ‘remove the veil’ is being spread in the meetings of the Collectors in the State.
