Upset Hindus urge Amazon to apologise and withdraw buffalo-skull carved with Shri Ganesh
Nevada (USA) – Upset Hindus are urging the world’s largest online retailer Amazon.com for the immediate withdrawal of a wall-hanging showing an image of Hindu Deity Shri Ganesh carved on a buffalo-skull, calling it highly inappropriate.
Mr. Rajan Zed in the USA said that Shri Ganesh is highly revered in Hinduism and was meant to be worshipped in temples or home shrines, and it was highly insensitive to sell His image carved on an animal skull. Inappropriate usage of Hindu Deities or symbols or concepts for commercial or other agenda was not proper as it hurt the faithful Hindus.
Mr. Zed also urged Amazon.com and its President Jeffrey P Bezos to tender a formal apology, besides withdrawing this image, as this was not the first time the company was offering products which were deemed offensive by Hindu devotees.
Protest against anti-National & anti-Dharma incidents with restraint !
The main objective in protesting against anti-Hindu elements is to bring about an ideological change in them. Therefore, any protest should be at the ideological level on the strength of relevant theoretical points. Here, the expansive perspective should be to bring the erring individual onto the right path by pointing out his mistake.
