Illegal madarasa on Govt land in Sitapur (UP) demolished following BJP leader’s complaint
Sitapur (Uttar Pradesh) – Following the orders from the Deputy Collector (DC), an illegally constructed madarasa on the Government land was demolished. This action was taken after a complaint was filed by BJP leader Ashish Chaudhary. DC Shikha Shukla stated that the illegal madarasa had been built on Government land. (When it is the administration’s responsibility to protect Government land, how could such unauthorized construction take place without their knowledge ? Are administrative officers similarly negligent about their own property ? – Editor).
1. The demolished madarasa was built approximately 40 years ago by Ahmed and Habib. (Action must be taken against all officers in the administration during those 40 years – Editor).
2. The madarasa was neither registered nor operating with any authorization. (Education department officials responsible for oversight must also face action – Editor).
3. In 2018, the Court had ordered the removal of the madarasa; however, no concrete action was taken at the time. (Action should be taken against the administrative officials who failed to act on the Court’s order for six years. Only then will other officers take their responsibilities seriously – Editor).
Editorial PerspectiveWhy was such a complaint necessary ? Was the administration unaware ? Were the administration and Police machinery asleep ? |
