1. In a letter written to Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, the Bar Association has said that the temple in the Chief Justice’s bungalow is historic and many former Chief Justices of the High Court used to offer prayers in this temple. Not only this, but the employees working in the Chief Justice’s residence also used to pray in the temple.

2. The bungalow and the temple are Government properties. Most of the judges and employees who believe in Sanatan Dharma used to visit this temple for worship. Therefore, it cannot be demolished without the permission of the Government or without any legal order. This act is insulting to the followers of Sanatan Dharma, the letter said.
