Vishwa Hindu Parishad to launch nationwide campaign to free Govt controlled temples
New Delhi – “Not a single mosque or church in India is under the control of the Government. When minority Muslims and Christians can run their religious places, why not Hindus ? In Tamil Nadu alone, the Government has taken control of more than 400 temples. This is a violation of the Constitution. The Supreme Court has also ruled thrice that ‘the Government should have nothing to do with the management of the temple property’. Temple property is being misused due to Government’s control. There are many examples related to this. Therefore, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will soon launch a nationwide campaign to free temples from the Government control,” informed VHP General Secretary Surendra Jain while talking to the media.

If Muslims return Kashi and Mathura sites, Hindus won’t make further demandsThe whole world knows that Muslim invaders demolished lakhs of temples in India and built mosques above them. In 1984, Saints in India had presented a good proposal to Muslims. ‘You give us only Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi. We will let go of lakhs of remaining temples.’ The Muslim leadership is responsible for the current situation because they did not accept the proposal. If Muslims had accepted the proposal at that time, these 3 places would have been ours and the current issues would not have come up. Now 2 out of 3 are left. I think if we get these 2 places, we can explain to the conscious section of the society that we should not look for temples everywhere. Therefore, the Muslim community still has a chance to return Mathura and Kashi to the Hindus. The Hindu community can sacrifice for the sake of unity and harmony. |
