Arrests made in Dhule, Navi Mumbai, and Bhiwandi
Panvel – Bangladeshi intruders living illegally in the country in Navi Mumbai, Dhule and Bhiwandi in Maharashtra have been arrested.
Four Bangladeshi women residing in a rented room in Kopra village, Navi Mumbai, were detained by the Navi Mumbai Police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit. A case has been registered at Kharghar Police Station in this regard. These individuals were renting a room from Sanjay Thakur without proper documentation. (If landlords renting rooms without verifying documents are prosecuted and jailed, it will instil fear among others – Editor) The arrested individuals have been identified as Amisha Kamal Kazi (37), Sharmin Kamal Kazi (18), Rani Kimarul Shaikh (40), and Saifulla Ahmed Ali Khan (27). The women were working as domestic helpers in the Kharghar area. (Employers hiring such individuals must also face legal action to send a clear message that India is not a refuge for illegal immigrants – Editor)

Four Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from ‘Hotel New Sher-E-Punjab’ in Dhule. They had come to the area under the pretence of selling blankets. The arrested individuals are Mahammad Mehtab Bilal Sheikh, Shilpi Begam Mahammad Bilal Sheikh, Byuti Begam Polas Sheikh, and Ripa Rafiq Sheikh. The Police seized four mobile phones worth Rs 40,000 from them. They possessed no valid passports or identification proving legal residency in India. They were reportedly using the IMO (In my opinion) app to communicate with relatives.
Police arrested eight Bangladeshi nationals in Bhiwandi, including one woman. The arrested individuals are Sabuj Sheikh, Haider Sheikh, Jamal Sheikh, Mohammad Morshed Sheikh, Rafiq Sheikh, Mahmudul Sheikh, Ansar Chaudhari, and a 33-year-old woman. None of them had valid documentation, and they were found residing in the area while working as labourers in construction and plumbing. (Indians who employ such individuals without verifying their background are enabling illegal immigrants. This must stop to deter such infiltrators from entering India – Editor) The accused admitted to entering India through illegal means.
