Dr Jaishankar said,
1. When India is more deeply connected to the world, its consequences are more profound. The world can learn a lot from India’s rich heritage. This is possible only when Indians are proud of themselves. Don’t misunderstand if India is neutral. We will do what is in the national interest.
2. For a long time, we have been taught that the progress means rejection of our own traditions; but now, as democracy has strengthened, the world is getting to know the country with a new perspective.
3. India is an extraordinary nation, because it is a country with culture. Only by fully utilizing its cultural strength, can it make an impact on the global stage.
4. India stands at a crucial juncture today, where it is exploring new opportunities for development. However, some old problems still remain, which need to be addressed.
