Ajay Sharma, State President of Sanatan Rakshak Dal, said, “On 16 December, a post went viral on social media stating: ‘Attention! A Shiva temple is lying locked in Kashi near house number D-31 in Madanpura.’ After reading this, I visited the site and found the temple. It is said to be 250 years old and has been locked for the past 10 years. Locals in the vicinity were not forthcoming with any information about the temple.” (“Since the surrounding residents are Muslims, why would they provide such information ?” – Editor) He further added that the temple’s interior is filled with mud and mentioned that this temple is referenced in the Kashi Khand scripture.

Editorial PerspectiveA Shiva temple was previously discovered in a Muslim-majority area of Sambhal, and now a similar temple has been found in Varanasi. Hindus must pressure state Governments to conduct inspections in all such areas to uncover how many more temples have been concealed. |
