86 Indians attacked and killed abroad in 2023

Information revealed to Lok Sabha by Union Govt

New Delhi – “ In 2023, in India and abroad 86 Hindus have been attacked and some of them were killed. Maximum number of such incidents have occurred in the US.” The Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirtivardhan Singh has given this information in the Lok Sabha, in response to a question by MP Sandeep Pathak.

According to the number of attacks on Hindus who had gone abroad, as stated by State Minister Kirtivardhan, was 29 in the year 2021, in 2022, it escalated to 57, and in 2023, 12 Indians were attacked, or killed in the US.  Canada, Britain and Saudi Arabia, in each one of these countries, the number was 10.

“The safety and security of Indians abroad is one of the foremost priorities for the government of India. Our missions and posts remain vigilant and closely monitor any untoward incident. Such incidents are immediately taken up with the concerned authorities of the host country to ensure that the cases are properly investigated, and the perpetrators are punished,” said Kirtivardhan Singh.

2,16,219 Indians relinquished citizenship

In response to another question the Government informed Parliament, “in 2023, 2,16,219 Indians took citizenship of other countries. According to Government data, in 2022 the number was 2,25,620.

Now the Government should also share information regarding how many Hindus are attacked in India and abroad just because they are Hindus, how many have been killed or how many Hindu women raped, how many Hindus compelled to convert and how many temples attacked. The Government owes this information to Hindus.
