Muslims build illegal madarasa behind ‘Aisha’ restaurant in Taloja (Panvel)

Taloja (Panvel) – An illegal madarasa is being run in the area behind Aisha Restaurant in Taloja (Phase 1) and illegal construction has also been done around this restaurant. After the locals complained about this, BJP MLA Prashant Thakur has written a letter to Panvel Municipal Commissioner Mangesh Chitale demanding action against this illegal construction.

1. This restaurant has facilities for offering namaz. The owner has illegally constructed a kitchen outside the premises, as well as an illegal construction on the sidewalk, and has also illegally constructed a toilet. Locals have complained that a madarasa is being run here under the guise of a restaurant.

2. The photographs and videos of this illegal construction are also available. Those who complain about this are being threatened by the owner. Therefore, MLA Prashant Thakur has demanded that the Municipal Corporation investigate this matter and take immediate action. (Were the Police sleeping while such massive encroachments were happening around the restaurant ? It is shameful for the Police that the local MLA has to intervene in this – Editor).

3. The Police come here once a week and take bribes. That is how Muslims are taking advantage. (It is also important to note that due to such corrupt attitude of the Police, religious fanatics had once become active in Taloja and prevented Hindus from lighting lamps in the society’s courtyard during Diwali – Editor). In a few places in Taloja area, Muslims rent space in the society’s courtyards to offer namaz. Allegedly, this restaurant receives donations from the Gulf countries. (If this is the case, this matter should be thoroughly investigated – Editor).
