Supreme Court sought information on the speech of Justice Shekhar Yadav of Allahabad HC
Justice Yadav had stated – The country will run according to the will of the majority
New Delhi – Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav of Allahabad High Court made some statements in the Vishwa Hindu Parishad program on Uniform Civil Law in the High Court library hall 3 days ago. The Supreme Court has sought its information. Justice Yadav is being accused of making objectionable statements.
The social organisation Citizens for Judicial Accountability and Reforms has written a letter to Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna in this regard. Expressing displeasure, an internal inquiry has been demanded to take action against Justice Yadav. The letter mentions that he directly and indirectly targeted Indian Muslims in this program held in the premises of Allahabad High Court.

In this program, the judge said, ‘India will run according to the will of the majority of people living in the country and this is the law. The law is governed by the majority. If it is seen in the context of family or society, it will be accepted as that which benefits the welfare and happiness of the majority’.
