The administration demolished the encroachment of a 185-year-old mosque in Fatehpur (Uttar Pradesh)

Fatehpur (UP) – The encroachment of the 185 year old Noori Mosque here was demolished on December 10. The action was necessary for the widening of the highway. The action, which began at 8 a.m, continued till 3 p.m. At this time, there was a large police force including the Deputy Superintendent of Police at the scene. A team of the Dhadak Action Force was also deployed.

1. Although this mosque is 185 years old, some illegal construction was done in the mosque building 3 years ago. The administration said that it was hindering the widening of the Banda-Bahraich road.

2. The Public Works Department issued a notice on August 17 to the mosque committee to demolish the encroachment on its own within 1 month, but it did not act as per the notice.

3. Instead, the mosque committee went to the High Court. There will be a hearing on this; but not waiting for the court’s decision, the administration took action on its own and demolished the encroachment.

Will other Governments learn anything from the Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh, for taking strict action against encroachment ?
