Hindus protest outside Bangladesh Embassy in Toronto (Canada)
Protest against attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh
Toronto (Canada) – Protests were held by Hindus of Indian origin outside the Bangladesh Embassy in Toronto to condemn the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Protesters stated, “We, Hindus of Canada, have gathered here outside the Bangladesh Embassy to express our discontent. We are protesting because we have seen what has been happening in Bangladesh since 3rdAugust this year. We urge Bangladesh to stop the killing of minorities and Hindus.”
Hindus vanished first from Afghanistan, then from Pakistan; may vanish from Bangladesh
A Bangladeshi-origin woman participating in the protest said, “We empathise with the victims in Bangladesh. The atrocities on minorities there must stop. Hindus have already been wiped out from Afghanistan and Pakistan. If we are not saved now, we will be wiped out from Bangladesh as well. This is our land, where 14 generations of our ancestors were born.”
Editorial PerspectiveIt is commendable that Hindus worldwide are uniting for Hindus in Bangladesh. Born-Hindus in India should take inspiration from them. |
