Bomb Threat to Over 40 Schools in Delhi

Extortionist Demands $30,000 (₹25.41 Lakh) to Avoid Explosion

New Delhi – More than 40 schools in the capital, including Mother Mary School, The British School, Salwan Public School, and Cambridge School, received bomb threat emails early this morning. The sender demanded $30,000 (₹25.41 lakh) to avoid triggering the bombs. Police conducted thorough inspections and confirmed no explosives were found. Notably, a similar wave of bomb threat emails targeted over 150 schools in Delhi back in May 2024.

The emails, sent around 11:30 PM on December 8, contained a chilling message:

“I have planted multiple bombs inside the building. These bombs are small and well- hidden, causing minimal structural damage but potentially injuring many people. If I don’t receive $30,000, I will detonate them.”

Police investigations are underway to identify the perpetrator and ensure the safety of students and staff.
