Despite attack on life, Bajrang Dal activists and Gourakshaks hold truck carrying cattle at Kharepatan in Sindhudurg
Truck driver Adam Ali arrested by Police, the cleaner escaped
Kankavali, Maharashtra – Despite risk to own life, Bajrang Dal activists and Gourakshaks pursued a truck carrying cattle intended to be killed and managed to hold it at Kharepatan on the Mumbai-Goa highway, with the help of the Police. During the pursuit, the truck driver twice tried to dash the truck against the Gourakshaks’ vehicle .The same was also attempted by the four-wheeler that was leading the truck. The courage of the Gourakshaks alone saved their own life and those of 9 bulls, 7 cows and 3 calves.
Krushna Dhulpanavar, a Bajrang Dal activist and two of his friends received information that a truck filled with cattle would travel on Mumbai Goa highway between Achara in Malvan and Nipani in Karnataka. (Why can’t the police get this information when they have their own netwok and sources?- Editor) Accordingly on 6th December they started following a cattle carrying truck going towards Kankavali from Oros. They overtook the truck and tried to stop it at Nandgaon. But the truck driver tried to escape by turning towards Phondaghat. Still the Gourakshaks continued the pursuit of the truck.
During the pursuit, the truck driver tried to dash the truck against the Gourakshaks’ car and cause an accident. The same was also attempted by the four wheeler that was accompanying the truck. While in pursuit, Gourakshaks informed the Police about the truck and its illegal cattle transportation. After this the Police barricaded the check post at Kharepatan at 6.30 in the morning and stopped the truck and apprehended the truck driver.
