Siddaganga Swamiji’s statue vandalized in Karnataka; accused claims Jesus ordered to do so in dream

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – The statue of Dr. Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Mutt was vandalised near the Veerabhadranagar bus stand in the Girinagar area of Bengaluru. The forehead of the statue was smashed, and it was disfigured. Police have arrested a youth identified as Shivu in this case. During the investigation, he claimed, ‘Jesus appeared to me in a dream and ordered me to do this’. It was also revealed that Shivu and his family have a special inclination toward Christianity, Christian traditions, and devotion to Jesus.

Earlier too, this person had pelted stones at a board displaying an image of a Hindu Deity in the Byadarahalli area, but no formal complaint had been filed at that time. (Consequences of not taking immediate action against anti-Hindu elements – Editor)
