Saudi Arabia executed 303 people in one year

Riyadh – Islamic country Saudi Arabia has broken all records of death penalty. The number of people executed in the country in 2024 crossed 300 in early December, the highest ever. On December 3rd, Saudi Arabia executed 3 men convicted of drug trafficking and murder. Therefore, the number of executions so far this year has increased to 303.

1. According to Saudi media reports, 200 people were executed in September. These include 103 convicted on drug-related charges and 45 convicted on terrorism charges.

2. In a new case, an Indian man has been sentenced to death by a Saudi Arabian Court. Zaid Junaid, a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, has been convicted for drug trafficking. Zaidm Junaid has been sentenced to death by a Court in Makkah on charges of drug trafficking.

In India, capital punishment is imposed in some cases; but it is not implemented. India has a lot to learn from Saudi Arabia.
