Beef banned in hotels, restaurants and public places in Assam : CM Himanta Biswa Sarma
Guwahati (Assam) – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made an announcement at a press conference that Beef has been banned in Assam. The Assam cabinet has decided to ban beef in hotels, restaurants and public places in the state. After the decision to ban beef, Assam Minister Piyush Hazarika said, ‘I challenge the Congress in Assam to either welcome the beef ban or go and settle in Pakistan.’ (Congratulations to the Assam cabinet for deciding to ban beef ! – Editor)

1.Assam Congress MP Rakibul Hussain had accused the BJP of organising a ‘beef party’ to woo Muslim voters in the Samguri assembly constituency of Nagaon district.
2.Chief Minister Sarma had said that he would write a letter to the state Congress president over Hussain’s statement. He had said that beef will be completely banned in the next assembly session. Hindus, Muslims and Christians should all stop eating beef. This will solve all the problems.
