Protest in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) against atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh
More than 1,000 Hindus participantated
Chennai – On December 4th, a national level protest was organized by the ‘Defense Team for the Rights of Hindus in Bangladesh’ to protest against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. The protest was organized simultaneously at all the District headquarters. As part of this, a protest was held near Chennai’s Rajaratnam Maidan. Leaders and activists of various Hindu organizations participated in this protest.
At this time, slogans were raised in support of Hindus in Bangladesh. Leaders of BJP and some other political parties also participated. On this occasion, they interacted with the journalists present there. More than 1,000 devout Hindus participated in this movement in Chennai. A large Police force was present at the protest site. They took the protesters into custody. In this movement, BJP corporator Uma Anandan, State president of BJP’s labour welfare department Radhakrishnan, member of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Pujya (Mrs.) Uma Ravichandran, Sugandhi Jayakumar and Mr Jayakumar participated.
Government of India should take strict action : Pujya (Mrs) Uma RavichandranOn this occasion Pujya (Mrs) Uma Ravichandran gave an interview to social media channel ‘Naradhar’ about the miserable situation of Hindus in Bangladesh. “Indian Government needs to take strict action to protect the lives and property of Hindus in Bangladesh,” she said in this interview. |
