🚨 Recognize the uprising in Bangladesh! – Bangladesh Student Movement Leader Mahfuz Alam
A baseless appeal to #India by Mahfuz Alam, a leader of the student movement in #Bangladesh‘s interim government!

Mahfuz Alam is a prominent member of the student movement of Bangladesh. He wrote in a Facebook post that India tried to portray the uprising as a terrorist, anti-Hindu and Islamist uprising. Ignoring this insurgency will be detrimental to Bangladesh and will have a negative impact on the relationship between the two countries. India now needs to come out of the 1975 timeline and understand the new political situation in Bangladesh. This is a democratic struggle, which will continue for a long time. The time of historical change has come in Bangladesh. This is a fight for democratic values.
Editorial PerspectiveThis is like saying ‘We shall kill and you acknowledge it’. It was an anti- democratic incident and hence it was wrong not only for India but also for the world. Therefore, India should oppose this kind of appeal and advise to establish a democratic system in Bangladesh. |
