India successfully test-fired a nuclear-armed missile

New Delhi – The Indian Navy successfully test-fired a nuclear- capable ballistic missile for the first time from a nuclear-powered submarine, Arighat. The missile has a range of 3,500 km. If a land attack is not possible, this missile has the capability to launch a nuclear attack on an enemy country from water.

India’s policy is that India will not attack anyone first with nuclear weapons; but if someone attacks India with nuclear weapons, India will retaliate. Therefore, this missile is considered crucial.
