Man murders his live-in partner and dismembers the body into 50 pieces
Incident in Khunti, Jharkhand
(Live-in refers to a relationship where a couple lives together without marriage)
Ranchi (Jharkhand) – In recent years, many crimes related to partners living in live-in relationships have been reported. These range from financial exploitation, physical abuse, and rape, to brutal murders. A horrific incident recently occurred in the Khunti District of Jharkhand. A 25-year-old man named Naresh Bhengra, who was living in a live-in relationship with his 24-year-old girlfriend Gangi Kumari, brutally murdered her and dismembered the body into 50 pieces. On 24th November, the body parts were discovered by stray dogs in a forested area, which led to the uncovering of the murder. Naresh has been arrested.
1. Naresh and Gangi had been living together in Chennai for the past few years. Both were residents of Jordag village in Jharkhand. They had been residing in Tamil Nadu due to work.
2. During their relationship, Naresh had secretly married another woman in Jharkhand. Despite this, he continued to live with Gangi Kumari in Tamil Nadu.
3. On 8th November, Naresh and Gangi returned to their village in Jharkhand. Gangi asked him to take her to his home, which led to an argument between the two. She demanded the money she had earlier given him. Naresh refused. After this, Naresh took her to a nearby forest, strangled her with her own scarf, and then dismembered her body into 50 pieces using a sharp weapon before discarding the parts in the forest.
4. On 24th November, stray dogs brought out human body parts from the forest area, and this is how the locals got information about the incident. The Police found Gangi Kumari’s bag in the forest area, which led them to Naresh.
Editorial PerspectiveCrimes of such brutality committed in live-in relationships are now occurring on a larger scale. It is essential to recognise this form of relationship, which is fundamentally against religious principles and a symbol of immorality, as a crime in order to promote the welfare of society. |
