Agitation by Imran Khan supporters in Pakistan suspended
Islamabad – Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has temporarily suspended its agitation. PTI has said that further decisions will be taken on the advice of Imran Khan. In a press release, PTI said that the Government is proven to brutally kill unarmed civilians. They are temporarily suspending their peaceful protest to prevent Islamabad from becoming a slaughterhouse.
Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin were leading the Gandapur protest. He asked the protesters to go home. Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi said in a press conference that both of them fled due to fear of arrest. Protests started in Pakistan from 24thNovember for the release of Imran Khan. At least 7 people lost their lives in this protest which lasted for 3 days. Pakistani police have arrested more than 500 protesters.
