Lower Court judges want to set the country on fire : MP Ram Gopal Yadav
|
New Delhi – A petition claiming that Ajmer Sharif Dargah was originally a Shiva temple has been accepted by a local Court in Ajmer, sparking reactions from various political leaders. Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav made a contemptuous remark, saying, “I have said it before also. Kind of ‘small small’ judges sitting (in lower Courts) want to set the country on fire. This has no meaning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself sends ‘chadar’ to Ajmer Sharif Dargah. People from the whole world come to Ajmer Sharif. To put that place under controversy depicts a very hateful and shallow mindset. Not only this, the BJP-backed people can do anything to remain in power.”

AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi stated, “The dargah has been here for 800 years. Every Prime Minister, from Nehru onward, has sent a chadar to the dargah. Why are BJP-RSS spreading such hatred about mosques and dargahs ? Why are lower Courts not considering the Places of Worship Act ? Where is the rule of law and democracy ? This is not in the country’s interest and is being orchestrated by BJP-RSS.” (Please note that Owaisi himself is an advocate who questioned the Court when it accepted the petition. The Court should strip him of his law degree now – Editor)
Senior advocate and Supreme Court Bar Association President Kapil Sibal described the developments as “alarming.” He questioned, “Where is the country being led for political gains ?” (Please note that Sibal is implying that justice in India is only for Muslims and if the Court gives justice to Hindus, it is wrong – Editor)
