Bangladesh Should Protect Hindus : India pleads
New Delhi – “We are deeply concerned about the arrest and denial of bail to Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu, leader of Bangladesh’s ‘Sanatan Jagaran Jyot.’ This incident has occurred amidst attacks by extremist elements in Bangladesh against Hindus and other minorities. There have been instances of looting of minority-owned homes and shops, along with numerous cases of theft, vandalism, and desecration in their temples. It is highly unfortunate that while perpetrators of these incidents roam free, accusations are being leveled against a religious leader who is peacefully advocating for justice.

We are also concerned about the attacks on minorities who are peacefully protesting against the arrest of Chinmoy Prabhu. We urge Bangladeshi authorities to ensure the safety and protection of Hindus and their freedom of expression,” said India’s Ministry of External Affairs in a statement addressed to Bangladesh.
Editorial PerspectiveIndia is a nuclear-armed nation and the creator of Bangladesh. Therefore, instead of pleading, India should issue a strict directive to Bangladesh to protect Hindus. If Bangladesh fails to do so, India should deploy its military into Bangladesh. This would reassure Hindus worldwide with the message, ‘If united, we are safe!’ |
