Trump administration firmly committed to expelling illegal immigrants from the United States
Washington, US – US President-elect Donald Trump recently announced that his administration plans to declare a national emergency and deploy the military to expel immigrants living in the country illegally. Trump shared this information in a post on ‘X’.
The Trump administration plans to initially deport 4,25,000 undocumented immigrants, prioritizing those with criminal records. Former police officer Tom Homan stated that all immigrants would still have the opportunity to undergo the due legal process as outlined by the law.
Large-scale deportations of individuals who entered the United States illegally could significantly impact the U.S. economy. The American Immigration Council has warned that this decision could lead to a severe labour shortage in critical sectors such as construction and agriculture.
