Washington (USA) – Newly elected US President Donald Trump has once again promised to release confidential documents related to the assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy. Trump had made this promise during his previous term as well, but he did not fulfill it at that time. Now, through a podcast, he has indicated that the new administration will make it happen. If this happens, it is said that there could be a major shake-up in American politics.
1. Numerous claims have been made over the past 50 years suggesting a conspiracy behind Kennedy’s assassination.
2. Notably, John F. Kennedy’s nephew, Robert F. Kennedy, is also part of the Trump administration. Robert has also demanded the release of these confidential documents.
3. In the podcast, Trump mentioned that during his last term, several people, including his former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, advised against releasing these confidential documents. The reason given for withholding them was concerns over security.
John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963
The assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy remains one of the most talked- about cases in American history. On 22nd November 1963, Kennedy was shot and killed in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. A former Government official, Lee Harvey Oswald, was arrested for the shooting. However, just two days after his arrest, Oswald was shot dead by nightclub owner Jack Ruby while in Police custody. This killing has left many questions about Kennedy’s assassination unanswered.
