Hindus give a befitting response to ‘Vote Jihad’; Mahayuti gets a clear majority in Maharashtra

Mumbai – During the Lok Sabha elections, there were incidents where consolidated Muslim votes helped defeat Mahayuti candidates in Muslim-majority constituencies. However, in the Assembly elections, Hindus gave a strong reply to ‘Vote Jihad’ by voting in large numbers, ensuring Mahayuti’s clear majority. In the Assembly election, Mahayuti won 230 out of 288 seats, which is the highest majority in Maharashtra’s political history. The slogans of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Hai, Toh Safe Hai’ (If united, we are safe) and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ‘Batenge Toh Katenge’ (If divided, we will be cut off) received a massive response from Hindus. In contrast, the Maha Vikas Aghadi faced a crushing defeat in the State.

Mahavikas Aghadi

In Maharashtra, the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP fought the elections as Mahayuti allaince, while the Congress, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi. The Mahayuti achieved major historical success in this election, surpassing expectations based on various opinion poll surveys. After the division of Shiv Sena, there were questions about whether voters would support Eknath Shinde or Uddhav Thackeray, and whether voters of NCP would support Sharad Pawar or Ajit Pawar. The public gave its answer through voting, signaling the decline of sympathy for Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray.

Impact of Hindu votes in the election

In the Lok Sabha elections, consolidated Muslim votes helped the Maha Vikas Aghadi in constituencies like Malegaon, Dhule, and Mumbai. However, in this Assembly election, the influence of Hindu votes was evident.

Fake narrative defeated by ‘Ek Hai, Toh Safe Hai’

During the Lok Sabha elections, the Maha Vikas Aghadi spread a fake narrative claiming that if BJP came to power, the Constitution would be changed. This harmed the Mahayuti. To prevent a similar impact in the Assembly elections, Mahayuti launched a ‘Constitution Awareness’ campaign in the State. The slogans ‘Ek Hai, Toh Safe Hai’ and ‘Batenge Toh Katenge’ countered the fake narrative.

‘We had said that we are modern Abhimanyus, and we have broken the Chakravyuh created by the opposition. We will respect all those opposition candidates who have been elected. This victory is against the fake narrative that was spread during the Lok Sabha elections’, Devendra Fadnavis said.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted ‘Ek hai toh safe hai, Modi hai to mumkin hai’, (If we are together, we will be safe, if Modi is there, it is possible).

RSS is the ‘architect’ of Mahayuti Government

Two days before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s President J.P. Nadda had said, ‘We no longer need the RSS’, which led to RSS workers not being actively involved in the election campaign. However, in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, a coordinator was appointed between BJP and RSS, with thousands of RSS workers actively supporting pro-Hindutva candidates. Therefore, RSS played a crucial role as the ‘architect’ in establishing the Mahayuti Government.

Swearing-in ceremony to be held at Wankhede Stadium on 25th November

The swearing-in ceremony for the new Maharashtra Government is set to take place at Wankhede Stadium on 25th November. Preparations for the event have already begun.

With the swearing-in ceremony, there is much curiosity about who will be the Chief Minister. Discussions are ongoing, with several recommending Devendra Fadnavis for the CM position. There is also speculation that, as the leading party, BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis may become CM, or Eknath Shinde might continue as CM with Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar serving as Deputy Chief Ministers.
