Some precious words of Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil
1. Since Spirituality is the science of action, only if you actually perform spiritual practice without just thinking about it, spiritual practice will be imprinted on your mind :
As a seeker progresses spiritually, everything in his life begins to connect with the Divine. Only the essence of the Divine remains. Most people remain at the level of thought for a long time. They do not engage in the practice of Spirituality. Simply thinking about Spirituality is not enough; it must be ‘lived’ through actual practice. Only when you practice Spirituality will it begin to leave an imprint on the mind. That’s why it is said – ‘Spirituality is the science of action’.
2. Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s guidance on eradicating Personality Defects and Ego to purify the inner mind and circumambulate the Divine within
2A. Visiting pilgrimage centres, performing rituals and circumambulation at Holy places may bring some spiritual benefit to a few : Many people visit pilgrimage centres where they perform various rituals or undertake vows. Some also circumambulate sacred hills, for example, parikrama (Circumambulation) of the Govardhan Hill in Mathura, Kamadgiri Hill in Chitrakoot, or Annamalai Hill in Tiruvannamalai. These activities provide certain spiritual benefits to them.
2B. Eradicating Personality Defects and Ego and purifying the inner mind, the original abode of God, leads to true spiritual practice : Along with undertaking vows, performing rituals, and parikramas, it is equally important to engage in the process of eradicating personality defects and ego. Performing parikramas only wears down the physical body but does not mould and purify the inner mind, which is the true abode of the Divine.
Sachchidanand Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale has taught seekers the process of eradicating personality defects and ego, which proves beneficial in the quest for God-realisation. This process eliminates the ingrained attachments and the imprints of personality defects and ego that have accumulated in the subconscious over lifetimes, making it possible for the soul to truly practice Spirituality for God-realisation.
In fact, what God truly expects of a seeker is to circumambulate the inner purity of the mind.
2C. Process of eradicating Personality Defects and Ego as taught by Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is the true circumambulation of the Divine in a pure heart : Rather than simply wearing down the body, the mind and intellect must be worn down to create space for the Divine to reside within. ‘Circumambulating the Divine within’ is the true spiritual practice.
The process of eradicating personality defects and ego, as taught by Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is the true form of circumambulation that a seeker offers to the Divine within a pure heart.
