Russia’s attack on Ukraine’s power grid : Three million people in the dark

Kyiv, Ukraine – Russia attacked the powergrid in Ukraine on November 17 with the help of more than 200 missiles and drones. This attack has left more than three million Ukrainians living in the dark in the dead winter season.

“Russia has destroyed more than half of Ukraine’s electricity infrastructure, and hundreds of Ukrainians have panicked and taken refuge in camps built in metro stations. We have appealed our Western allies to help rebuild the power grid,” Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said about the attack.

November 19 marks the 1,000th day of the Russia-Ukraine War

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, which was responded to by Ukraine. The war will complete 1,000 days on November 19, 2024. The 1,000-day war is still not showing any signs of ending. According to the United Nations report, at least 11,700 Ukrainians have been killed in the war.
