Impose ban on AIMPLB like terrorist organisations : MLA Nitesh Rane, BJP

Demands arrest of Sajjad Nomani

Mumbai – BJP leader and MLA Nitesh Rane has demanded a ban on the ‘All India Muslim Personal Law Board’ (AIMPLB), likening it to terrorist organisations such as the PFI (Popular Front of India) and ISIS, and called for the arrest of the Board’s spokesperson, Sajjad Nomani.

Nitesh Rane further said,

Nitesh Rane

1. Sajjad Nomani, a Taliban supporter, has shown support to the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which is a clear example of ‘vote jihad’. As a representative of the Muslim Personal Law Board, Nomani was using the language of ‘vote jihad’. But what is the need to do this while living in our country ? Why take benefits of all schemes here and simultaneously promote the Muslim Personal Law Board ? The Waqf Board is used to grab land, and this institution only exists in India, not in any Islamic country.

2. Why do we need a separate law like the Muslim Personal Law Board in the country ? Just as other citizens of the country have access to welfare schemes, Muslims should also live by the same laws. There is no need for a separate Personal Law Board for Muslims. All of this has no place in Hindu Rashtra, and thus, a ban should be imposed.

3. Looking at Sajjad Nomani’s history, he is a Taliban supporter. He is a white-collar terrorist who issues public fatwas. Therefore, just as Kasab was dealt with, the same action should be taken against Nomani. Such Muslim Personal Law Boards cannot be run in this country. Land grabs in the name of the Waqf Board will not be tolerated in Maharashtra.

Sajjad Nomani

4. Despite being a Hindu, people like Sanjay Raut of the Shiv Sena (UBT) support Nomani; but will they ever be yours ? They don’t respect anyone beyond their own religion.

5. Maharashtra’s Deputy CM, Devendra Fadnavis, has presented the reality of ‘Ek Hai To Safe Hai’ (We are safe if we stay united) to the Hindu community in Maharashtra. If Hindus neglect this, tomorrow, Nomani might issue a fatwa prohibiting worship of Deities in your homes. Where will Hindus go then ? This is the thought expressed by Devendra Fadnavis in his speech. If Sanjay Raut criticises him, then there is no difference between him and Kasab.

Open your eyes and see carefully : Ashish Shelar, BJP leader

BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar has urged the public to ‘open eyes and see clearly’, by sharing a video of Sajjad Nomani on social media. He also echoed the slogan Ek Hai To Safe Hai’ (We are safe if we stay united).

Action should be taken against Sajjad Nomani : Kirit Somaiya, BJP leader

Following Sajjad Nomani’s controversial statements, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has filed a complaint with the Election Commission, demanding action against him. The complaint accuses Nomani of inciting religious sentiments of Muslims, making hate speeches, calling for a social boycott of Muslims supporting the BJP, and promoting vote jihad. Somaiya has called for immediate action against Nomani.
