Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh) – In response to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s criticism of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s saffron attire, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Maharaj has voiced his disapproval. He stated, “Where is it written that only loafers and goons should engage in politics ? Saffron-clad individuals should also enter politics. Saffron is the colour of Bhagwan (God). Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj raised this very saffron flag to unite Maharashtra and the entire nation. Those who walk around in suits should not be the ones to dictate the course of politics in India.”
Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya Ji slams Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement, citing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Bhagwa flag as a symbol of unity and spiritual leadership.

At the ‘Samvidhan Bachao’ conference in Mumbai, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge commented on leaders who have adopted the appearance of sadhus and transitioned into politics, with some even becoming chief ministers. He remarked, “Many leaders live under the guise of sadhus and have now entered politics. They wear saffron clothes and have shaved heads. I would advise the BJP, either wear white clothes, or if you are a sanyasi in saffron attire, then stay out of politics.”
During a recent election rally in Jharkhand, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge commented that a true yogi would not use language like ‘fatkebaji’. He suggested that such language is more characteristic of terrorists than of a genuine yogi.
