Iran’s involvement alleged in Attack on Donald Trump
Claim by the US Department of Justice
Washington – The US Department of Justice has made a significant claim regarding the attack on Donald Trump during the presidential election period. The department has alleged that Iran was behind the attack, with an attempt made on Trump’s life. This accusation was filed in a criminal complaint at the Manhattan court.
The court was informed that an official from Iran’s ‘Islamic Revolutionary Guard’ had directed a hired shooter to plan Trump’s assassination. According to the complaint, Iranian government employee Farhad Shakeri was assigned the responsibility to kill Trump.
On July 13, while Donald Trump was addressing a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, shots were fired at him. One bullet narrowly missed Trump’s ear. A few days after this incident, another attempt was made on his life.
