Chittagong (Bangladesh) – The Police and army attacked Hindus protesting in front of a shop owned by a Muslim who insulted Sanatan Dharma. The incident took place in Hazari Goli area here. Hindu houses were searched here, and Hindus were beaten up. 30 Hindus were caught by the Police. 5 Hindus have been seriously injured in the Police attack. The Police and security forces are claiming that Hindus attacked them and only after that, they have taken action against Hindus.
1. Usman Mulla, a Muslim shopkeeper, made insulting remarks on Sanatan Dharma on the evening of November 5. He said that ISKCON, which is a Hindu spiritual organization, is barbaric and it must be boycotted. Hindus protested outside his shop over his remarks and demanded action against him. A local Hindu leader told ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ that he was forced to apologize by the Hindus.
2. Later, instead of taking action against Usman, the Police and other security forces started targeting Hindus. They took Usman to a safe place and started searching for the Hindus.
3. Videos from Chittagong show the Police arresting Hindus in a narrow area. The videos of Police damaging the CCTV cameras has also surfaced. In these videos, Police can be seen hitting people with sticks. Police have arrested 30 Hindus. At this time, army units were also present, and they also beat up the Hindus.
4. In Chittagong, Hindus are continuously protesting against the atrocities against them. The Bangladesh Police recently filed sedition cases against Hindus who raised their voice against oppression. In this case, 2 Hindus were arrested, while a case was registered against 19 people.
